Toast: Target
Without you Mayor Bill Moore, I would be toast. Who else would slap together a white washed wall so perfectly and under my detailed specs (uhhh, dunno…not too opaque and not too see through knotty?), sing with me into a plastic microphone, learn family rules of the Lund family (Is this crazy? Am I being bad?), and make a table stop sagging in the blink of an eye, while teaching us all about weddings and hard to find tools at cheap prices.

Hectic, but fun day shooting with Ralf Nau, Alex Chimilio & his team from Weatherproof Vintage somewhere in Mattituck, Long Island. Huge hug to Leigh Ann for running my show and not minding the steamer facial all day in her little bat cave. You’re the best.

Thank you to Heather Neumann and Britton Orrange for driving miss Daisy around Austin, hanging things over and over and over again (‘more to the left, no everything. wait, we forgot to take out glass, am sorry, I forgot about the product, back over to the right, pleasssse.’) and most importantly doing all of my returns, both of you.
You made my week in Austin easier. Next time, could we work on GPS not taking me to a circus instead of hotel?

Fun, fantastic shoot again with Cristin Shea of Found Productions & Olly Burn in and around Williamsburg, Bklyn. Had the pleasure of spending the entire day with Gregg Hubbard. If you don’t know Gregg, then you should, and if you have worked with him, you are aware that Gregg will not only make you love life, but also make sure you look your best while doing so. Guaranteed laughter the entire time.
Amazing weather, amazing crew. Well done Victoria Furnari from IMG models who rode that BMX bike like nobody’s business.

DOUBLE SETTIN’ FOR TEAM STRIPE
Fun, double stylist day with Leigh Ann Kocur last week for Michael Kors. Shot by Dylan Griffin. Apparently, to be on this team you must wear some sort of striped shirt, and a ponytail…hair color optional.
Shoot 1 of 2 with Cristin Shea of Found Productions. Super happy she was able to join the traveling family caravan of photo and video…and most importantly…be the only one who could read an actual road map with success! We would have been truly lost without you. No one finds a waterfall like Cristin, or rips her favorite jeans with such flair. We love you.
It was freezing. We conquered. The scenery was amazing. A lot of fun.
Big shout out to Warren Philo of Q Models who ran and ran and ran, and kept us laughing with his detailed stories of everything. You’re a cool cat.

I STILL LIVE IN A BOX…
Quick interiors shoot for the NY Post on the grandfather of paparazzi photos, Ron Galella.
Had no idea who he was. I really need to get out more, or at least pay attention sometimes. A super interesting and energetic man, whose archiving sytem below in the studio was the most amazing thing I’ve seen in a while, reading as a who’s who of society and celebrities.
Had an interesting tour of West Jersey as well, courtesy of my non-existent GPS. Good times.

BOY’S CLUB, LONDON
Hustled it around London again with Olly Burn and 5 energetic fellas who were good sports outside in the freezing cold. Great location and many thanks to el Comandante for letting us take over a corner of the bar (I mean we did buy everyone’s weight in beer and alcohol…props naturally).

DOVE SPA UK:
Fun, busy shoot for Dove Spa with Olly Burn and crew in London a few weeks ago.
We danced, we sang, we worked, we danced more (well, mostly Hannah and I). Moved some white furniture from room and room, dressed everyone in white, might have loudly serenaded the client with a really bad pop song that I only know half of the words of. Made friends with the cats who lived at the location.
Seriously, it was lovely to work and create sets for all at Dove & Inferno, but especially to meet and make even more beautiful the 7 ladies chosen to be part of this new campaign.
Something something something…CALL ME MAYBE. ‘Cause I threw a wish in a well, and now you’re in my world? Yes, I am bonafide pop star now.

PHOTO-BOMBING: MY YEAR SO FAR

Dear Mom & Dad,
Greeting from Havana, Cuba.
Around every corner brings some adventure that is filled with faded textures, shady business at times, hanging laundry, different smells, people dancing in their homes, music wafting through everything and lots of laughter from both of us. Might be having too many cafes con leches, cheap beers and pina coladas with very colorful straws. Walking & photographing loads, and exploring everything. The architecture is fantastic, the cars hilarious tankers and little beep beep cars crammed with people! People keep asking me if I am Mexican.
Took a drive to Vinales with a handwritten map from the hilarious pot bellied car rental man. Scary how spot on it was. Bit of a relief to be out of the hectic streets of Havana and into the countryside which is unreal. Women with umbrellas, horse drawn carriages clip clopping along. Amazing countryside view from the hotel balcony. Roosters crow and crow at all hours. There are no billboards, advertisements or box stores. Rented bikes and rode around in the hot sun along the plantations. My seat was too high. An impromptu photo shoot for Olly with local kids playing futbol in the beautiful fading light was the perfect ending to an already wonderful day. The visual stimulation is incredible, and Cuba will make you work for it! Amazed by it all, and happy to have shared everything so far with Olly who has many more adventures before him as he travels on after I leave.
Please do tell the cat that I love him still and I hope that he has been watching his weight as the summer months will be here before he knows it.

Dear Mom & Dad,
Greetings from Caneel Bay. Had an amazing birthday week.
Bit of work, magical time with Olly, Patrick & Hannah, fantastic sun, warm weather, loads of laughter. Made new friends (shocking right?). Might have consumed some rum mixed with coke, as well as bug spray. My pedicure is a wreck. Will write when I find more work. Hope all is well at home and the house painting went without a hitch. Please tell the cat I still love him and I hope his winter coat has come in nicely. Love, your daughter Aelana.
